meet our director!
We’re excited to introduce the heart behind our programs—our incredible Director, Jamye Byrne!
With a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University and currently pursuing her Master’s in Counseling at Lamar University (set to graduate December 2025), she brings a deep passion for helping others grow—on and off the court.
Her journey started as a scholarship volleyball athlete at San Jacinto Jr. College and Texas Tech University (2003–2007). After college, she spent 12 years in public education, including 7.5 years as a head volleyball coach. Though she stepped away from teaching to focus on her growing family, her love for mentoring young athletes never paused—she went on to coach club volleyball, serve as a club director, and lead strength and conditioning for both athletes and women.
She’s dedicated her life to empowering youth, building strong relationships, and supporting families through every stage. Her energy, experience, and heart for the community make her the perfect fit to lead with purpose and passion. We are so lucky to have her!

Maddi grew up in the close-knit Inez community and graduated from Industrial High School. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Texas A&M University, with plans to graduate in December 2025. Her academic journey will continue as she works toward a master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
Sports have always played a significant role in Maddi’s life. Her dedication and passion for athletics were especially evident during her high school volleyball career, where she made two state tournament appearances and proudly brought home a state championship title. Her firsthand knowledge of what it takes to train, perform, and succeed at a high level has given her valuable insight into the strength and conditioning side of athletics. She recognizes the importance of building a strong foundation—both physically and mentally—and uses this perspective to focus on fostering development, encouraging confidence, and ensuring that the positive lessons learned carry over into everyday life.
🤸♀️Meet Our Recreational Tumbling Coach!🤸♀️
From learning tumbling as a toddler to coaching in our community we’re excited to introduce our Recreational Tumbling Coach, Chelsie Horelka! ✨
With a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Education from Texas A&M, 9 years teaching experience, and 15+ years of coaching experience — she brings an incredible amount of knowledge to us to help inspire local youth through foundational tumbling classes!
Her journey started as a toddler where she was enrolled in gymnastics for 10 years and All Star Cheerleading for 2 years at Manning Gymnastics Centerplex. In High School she did HS Cheerleading all 4 years— Captain her Senior year. Then, she went on to cheer at Blinn College where she performed at NCA Nationals. This year she will be going into her 10th year teaching (6th year at Industrial East Elementary) and 3rd year coaching cheer at Industrial High School.
These experiences shaped not only her athletic gymnastics/cheer background but also ignited her passion for mentoring others. Now, she brings that lifelong dedication to coaching at our very own RecPlex in Inez.
She would like to thank every coach she’s had—their lessons, patience, and encouragement gave her the knowledge and confidence not only to perform—but to coach others.
Help us welcome her to the team—she’s ready to help the next generation embrace movement, confidence, and FUN! 🤸♀️
